inSIGHT™ assesses the effectiveness of capacity deployment and potentials for creating spare capacity.
If the capacity in managing current business is not sufficient or effective enough, then change will be a challenge. If an organization or it’s people are already operating at full capacity, a key change intervention is to re-prioritize, simplify some processes or add new capacity in order to prepare for change.

D I S S O N A N C E
We often hear people complain about their current situation. But no change occurs until the situation becomes intolerable. Dissonance refers to the tension/pressure for change. Without a high level of dissonance, there will not be enough drive for change. Simply put, it’s either ‘pleasure’ or ‘pain’. A few key indicators of the level of dissonance include:
• how compelling or attractive is the outcome brought by change;
• how frustrated the organization or the people are about the current situation;
• how much room the organization or the people still have for tolerating the existing situation;
• what is the risk or cost of changing;
and
• what is the cost and consequence of not changing?
At PeoplePlus, we assesses an organization’s level of readiness for change based on 3 key conditions that must be met for a successful transformation.

S T A T E   O F   M I N D
Refers to the ability of people to think at a different level. There are 3 broad categories:
1. Open-minded – People are open to new thinking/changes and not overcome by existing barriers/ problems.
2. Arrested mind – People desire changes but are overcome by existing limitations or barriers.
3. Close-minded – People do not desire changes and do not believe there is a need for change.
inSIGHT™ assesses the state of mind of key decision-makers and influential figures in the organization. We also assess the general state of mind at different levels/aspects.
The first key intervention of change is to shift the state of mind if they are not open, which significantly affects the buy-in of whole change process.

C A P A C I T Y
Refers to 2 aspects:
1. The current capacity being deployed in managing core business and solving problems.
2. The spare capacity available for change.
